Our pets do so much for us; they wag their tales whenever we come in, slobber all over us, and purr or rub against us. This week is Pet Appreciation Week and is the perfect time to show your furry pal a little extra love and cuddles for all that they do for you. For all of the unconditional love they show us, here are some ideas to show your appreciation:
Add an extra ten minutes to their walk
Bring a ball with you to a big park or field and play fetch
Learn how to give a pet massage to relieve their stress
Visit the dog park
Make some dog friendly biscuits
Teach him a new trick (even old dogs can be persuaded through treats)
Go for a little swim with your pup
Greenies! Fun for your dog and even better for you! (no more stinky breath)
Give your dog a long belly rub
Laser beam pointer exercise
Play a special cat video
Gently brush your cat or use a massaging glove
Plant some grass near one of his favorite hideouts
Ball of yarn (cliche enough?)
Canned fish for cats
Take time to make them purr
Love and appreciate your fluffy friend this week, but most importantly make sure they are up to date on all of their vaccinations and their wellness exams, because a healthy pet is a happy pet!
