Creating a Pet Friendly Workspace

If 2020 taught us anything, it's that we might be working from home for awhile longer. And working from home, also means working with our pets. So it's time to create a pet friendly workspace that works for both the two-legged and four-legged office mates.

Research has shown that those that allow their dogs in the home office saw reduced stress levels and reported an increase in overall productivity.

Relaxed and Inspired
Having pets in the (home) office can keep you relaxed and happy, which makes work more enjoyable.

Coworker Cooperation
Pets can help strengthen relationships through interaction between colleagues. And in this instance, we are referring to all the Zoom calls! Bring your pet in on the virtual call and we bet it will bring a smile to everyone's face. It might also help your virtual coworkers become more engaged during the call as well!

Healthy Breaks
When lunchtime rolls around, dog owners are likely to spend their breaks walking and playing with their dogs, which can provide a mental break and lower stress.

Work-Life Balance
For many workers who consider their pets as part of their families, allowing pets in your (home) office shows your virtual co workers that you can balance between professional and personal time.
